TARA RUBINIĆ: SESTRI

O umetnici

Tara Rubinić (2004) je vizualna umetnica mlajše generacije, ki se šele uveljavlja v svetu umetnosti. Risala in ustvarjala je že od otroštva, vendar se je šele med lockdownom slikanju in ustvarjanju poglobljeno posvetila in zelo hitro napredovala ter razvila svoj slog. Velik del v njenem življenju predstavlja tudi Črna gora, od koder izvira njena mama. Med karanteno je bila udeležena tudi v kratkem mentorstvu za začetnike v Ravnikar Gallery Space. Poleti 2020 je prav tako sodelovala na natečaju Zine Vitrine z zinom Otrok Deček Dom, na podlagi katerega bo imela decembra tudi razstavo.

Tokrat se predstavlja s čustveno serijo Sestri, skozi katero krpa odnos s svojim notranjim otrokom in hkrati na platno izliva njene bolečine, stiske, želje in videnje njunega odnosa. Naslov je tako umetničin nagovor majhni Tari, predstavlja pa tudi njun odnos - odnos odrasle Tare in mlajše verzije same sebe. Sicer umetnica nima sestre, vendar je razstava namenjena majhni Tari, saj do nje čuti močno sestrsko ljubezen in jo želi zaščititi, prav tako pa končno poskrbeti zanjo.

Tara ustvarja v različnih tehnikah, tako v olju kot v mešanih tehniki, ustvarja precej svobodno. Serija je izjemno introspektivna, kar se kaže predvsem v koloritu - prevladujejo odtenki globoke modre barve, ki izražajo melanholijo, bolečino in nenazadnje tudi celjenje.

Tari se v imenu ekipe galerije Media Nox iskreno in ji želim veliko uspeha na nadaljnji umetniški poti.

About the artist

Tara Rubinić (2004) is a visual artist of the younger generation, who is still establishing herself in the art world. She has been drawing and creating since childhood, but it was only during Lockdown that she took up painting and creating in depth and progressed very quickly, developing her own style. Montenegro, where her mother is from, is also a big part of her life. During her quarantine she also participated in a short mentorship for beginners at Ravnikar Gallery Space. In summer 2020 she also participated in the Zine Vitrine competition with her zine Child Boy Home, based on which she will have an exhibition in December.

This time she is presenting her emotional series Sisters, through which she mends her relationship with her inner child, while pouring her pain, distress, desires and vision of their relationship onto the canvas. The title is thus the artist's address to little Tara, but it also represents their relationship - of the adult Tara and the younger version of herself. Although the artist does not have a sister, the exhibition is dedicated to little Tara, because she feels a strong sisterly love for her and wants to protect her, as well as to finally take care of her.

Tara works in different techniques, both in oils and mixed media, and creates quite freely. The series is very introspective, which is especially evident in the colour palette - shades of deep blue predominate, expressing melancholy, pain and ultimately healing.
